@shazu1990 8 millions?? It's WAY too much, it was 4 millions. Most top-selling hits of 2003? Where this is from? I would LOVE for it to be true but i don't think it is.

  11. Just wanted to let you kids know that Madonna ripped the vogue shit off the poor black and latin kids from Harlem, New York. These kids suffered from severe poverty and died from AIDS and hunger and discrimination, while Madonna made hundreds of millions of dollars from these poor poor people. If I knew then, what i know now, I never would have bought any of her albums. While she is sleeping in her 500 million dollar bed, the poor truly talented kids are sleeping on the street.

  12. @SportaMega Bedtime Stories did very well commercially especially for a label that was new and not as big then. It sold over 10 million copies worldwide going platinum in 6 major countries. 'Secret' was a top 5 hit worldwide. 'Take A Bow' was #1 for 7 weeks on Billboard Hot 100, won a VMA and became the #1 highest-selling single of the year. 'Bedtime Story' was the 2nd most expensive video ever. From then on Maverick became more & more successful. So Bedtime Stories did really well.

  13. @SportaMega Well when Madonna released Erotica, she wanted to release SEX book to promote it. However her label didn't allow her to do such a thing. So she joined another label, Maverick, which let her take full artistic control. After releasing 'Erotica' video & SEX under Maverick, she faced strong negative backlash from the public which badly affected Erotica's sales. Maverick from then on were unable to market as well as her previous label, thats why Bedtime Stories wasn't as big.

  14. @shazu1990 Yeah, I agree, I mean look at her album Bedtime Stories and tell me this one wasn't successful, Bedtime Stories was so underrated and people didn't have high expectations after that erotic era, it didn't even have a tour. American Life was a great album and I <3 this song.

  18. @pancakeing Also American sold 8 million copies to date. In that era, she had the most expensive music video ever of the her mega-hit 'Die Another Day'. 'American Life' was a top 5 hit single worldwide. She was the artist with the most top-selling hits of 2003. She had the most iconic moment in entertainment history in her VMA 2003 kiss. Re-invention tour was the biggest tour of 2004 and 8th highest-grossing tour of all-time by a female. So yeh, American Life wasn't really failure.
